# MAC vs StepPhone

The clearest difference is rating: MAC at 5.0 against StepPhone's 4.3. MAC also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). StepPhone's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepPhone sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. MAC asks for nothing beyond the download.

MAC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of MAC's written reviews are positive against 76% of StepPhone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
