# Presso vs Ultimate Focus

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Presso at none against Ultimate Focus's 4. Presso also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Ultimate Focus's advantage is ratings volume (183 vs 3) and review sentiment (85% vs 68%). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Focus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Presso asks for nothing beyond the download.

Presso holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Focus has 183 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Presso's written reviews are positive against 85% of Ultimate Focus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Presso ships an update fortnightly, Ultimate Focus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
