# HoYoLAB vs Netmarble Connect

The clearest difference is ratings volume: HoYoLAB at 4K against Netmarble Connect's 4. HoYoLAB also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (45% vs 36%). Netmarble Connect's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for HoYoLAB against 4.0 for Netmarble Connect. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HoYoLAB has 4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of HoYoLAB's written reviews are positive against 36% of Netmarble Connect's.

HoYoLAB ships an update fortnightly, Netmarble Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
