# FasTyper vs My Type!

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: My Type! at none against FasTyper's 1. My Type! also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (66 vs 10). FasTyper's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FasTyper sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. My Type! asks for nothing beyond the download.

My Type! holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Type! has 66 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of FasTyper's written reviews are positive against 86% of My Type!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FasTyper ships an update every 3 months, My Type! fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
