# Teleprompter vs TelePrompter Scripts for Video

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TelePrompter Scripts for Video at 71% against Teleprompter's 31%. Teleprompter's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 18). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teleprompter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and TelePrompter Scripts for Video sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Teleprompter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Teleprompter has 1.7K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Teleprompter's written reviews are positive against 71% of TelePrompter Scripts for Video's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Teleprompter ships an update every 3 weeks, TelePrompter Scripts for Video every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
