# Chatium vs Reduce image size

The clearest difference is ads: Chatium at none against Reduce image size's shown. Chatium also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). Reduce image size's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chatium sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per month and Reduce image size sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chatium holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 39 and 72 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Chatium's written reviews are positive against 60% of Reduce image size's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chatium ships an update every 2 days, Reduce image size every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
