# Hoop Protect vs Army Hole

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hoop Protect at 100% against Army Hole's 0%. Army Hole's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Army Hole holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Army Hole has 64 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Hoop Protect's written reviews are positive against 0% of Army Hole's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
