# Bass Boost Player vs Riff

The clearest difference is update cadence: Riff at weekly against Bass Boost Player's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bass Boost Player sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month and Riff sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bass Boost Player ships an update monthly, Riff weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
