# Secure VPN vs VPN Mobisec

Secure VPN and VPN Mobisec both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Secure VPN's written reviews are positive against 29% of VPN Mobisec's. Secure VPN also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). VPN Mobisec's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and VPN Mobisec sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Secure VPN against 4.4 for VPN Mobisec. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure VPN has 409 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Secure VPN's written reviews are positive against 29% of VPN Mobisec's.

Secure VPN ships an update weekly, VPN Mobisec every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
