# IoT EMS vs Show a name

The clearest difference is update cadence: Show a name at every 2 weeks against IoT EMS's every 2 months. IoT EMS's advantage is iOS requirement (13 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IoT EMS ships an update every 2 months, Show a name every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
