# InPaper vs Pixie wallpaper

The clearest difference is rating: Pixie wallpaper at 4.3 against InPaper's 4.0. Pixie wallpaper also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 1) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). InPaper's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InPaper sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and Pixie wallpaper sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pixie wallpaper holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pixie wallpaper has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of InPaper's written reviews are positive against 67% of Pixie wallpaper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InPaper ships an update every 3 weeks, Pixie wallpaper every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
