# Airthings vs Current Luxury

The clearest difference is rating: Airthings at 4.4 against Current Luxury's 2.7. Airthings also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 3). Current Luxury's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 33%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Airthings holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airthings has 3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Airthings's written reviews are positive against 67% of Current Luxury's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Airthings ships an update fortnightly, Current Luxury every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
