# Airthings vs Eligian

The clearest difference is rating: Eligian at 5.0 against Airthings's 4.4. Airthings's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (3K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eligian sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Airthings asks for nothing beyond the download.

Eligian holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airthings has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Airthings ships an update fortnightly, Eligian every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
