# BMI Calculator・Weight Tracker vs Scale

The clearest difference is ads: BMI Calculator・Weight Tracker at none against Scale's shown. BMI Calculator・Weight Tracker also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (517 vs 124). Scale's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BMI Calculator・Weight Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Scale sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BMI Calculator・Weight Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 517 and 124 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of BMI Calculator・Weight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scale's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BMI Calculator・Weight Tracker ships an update every 2 months, Scale every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
