# neCal vs Tracking Control

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tracking Control at every 10 days against neCal's every 4 months. Tracking Control also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

neCal ships an update every 4 months, Tracking Control every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
