# Zencastr vs Saycut

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Zencastr at 721 against Saycut's 3. Saycut's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zencastr sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per month and Saycut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Zencastr against 5.0 for Saycut. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zencastr has 721 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Zencastr ships an update fortnightly, Saycut every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
