# Zip Extractor vs 7

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 7 at 83% against Zip Extractor's 0%. 7 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 8 months). Zip Extractor's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 4). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 7 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Zip Extractor asks for nothing beyond the download.

Zip Extractor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 7 has 96 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Zip Extractor's written reviews are positive against 83% of 7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Zip Extractor ships an update every 8 months, 7 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
