# LD iConnect vs Gentai

The clearest difference is update cadence: Gentai at every 3 months against LD iConnect's every 6 months. Gentai also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LD iConnect ships an update every 6 months, Gentai every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
