# Khmer ASR vs EDC

The clearest difference is rating: EDC at 4.6 against Khmer ASR's 4.2. Khmer ASR's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EDC holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 22 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Khmer ASR's written reviews are positive against 75% of EDC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Khmer ASR ships an update fortnightly, EDC every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
