# Wings Etc. vs U

The clearest difference is update cadence: U at every 2 weeks against Wings Etc.'s every 6 months. U also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%). Wings Etc.'s advantage is ratings volume (4.9K vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Wings Etc. against 4.8 for U. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wings Etc. has 4.9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Wings Etc.'s written reviews are positive against 100% of U's.

Wings Etc. ships an update every 6 months, U every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
