# Wings Etc. vs The Outsider

The clearest difference is update cadence: The Outsider at monthly against Wings Etc.'s every 6 months. Wings Etc.'s advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Outsider holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wings Etc. has 3.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wings Etc. ships an update every 6 months, The Outsider monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
