# Split Screen vs SpendSnap

The clearest difference is rating: SpendSnap at 5.0 against Split Screen's 4.1. Split Screen's advantage is ratings volume (84 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Split Screen sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.49 per month and SpendSnap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpendSnap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Split Screen has 84 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Split Screen ships an update every 5 weeks, SpendSnap monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
