# Ft McClellan vs Hots&Cots

The clearest difference is rating: Hots&Cots at 4.8 against Ft McClellan's 3.7. Hots&Cots also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (26 vs 3). Ft McClellan's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hots&Cots sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Ft McClellan asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hots&Cots holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hots&Cots has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Ft McClellan's written reviews are positive against 86% of Hots&Cots's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
