# WhoPoo vs Sounds True

The clearest difference is rating: Sounds True at 4.6 against WhoPoo's 2.4. Sounds True also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 11). WhoPoo's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sounds True sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. WhoPoo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sounds True holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sounds True has 1.2K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of WhoPoo's written reviews are positive against 26% of Sounds True's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
