# Cambridge Reader vs UCMAS Student App

The clearest difference is rating: UCMAS Student App at 3.4 against Cambridge Reader's 2.5. Cambridge Reader's advantage is review sentiment (10% vs 0%) and ratings volume (52 vs 10). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UCMAS Student App holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cambridge Reader has 52 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Cambridge Reader's written reviews are positive against 0% of UCMAS Student App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
