# Cambridge Reader vs Schoolify

The clearest difference is rating: Schoolify at 5.0 against Cambridge Reader's 2.5. Schoolify also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 months). Cambridge Reader's advantage is ratings volume (52 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Schoolify holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cambridge Reader has 52 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cambridge Reader ships an update every 6 months, Schoolify every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
