# Continuous QR/barcode scanner vs DataScan

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DataScan at 100% against Continuous QR/barcode scanner's 50%. DataScan also leads on ads (none vs shown). Continuous QR/barcode scanner's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 1.0) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Continuous QR/barcode scanner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DataScan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Continuous QR/barcode scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Continuous QR/barcode scanner's written reviews are positive against 100% of DataScan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Continuous QR/barcode scanner ships an update weekly, DataScan every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
