# Mr. Hero vs Emilio's Pizza

Mr. Hero and Emilio's Pizza both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Emilio's Pizza's written reviews are positive against 53% of Mr. Hero's. Emilio's Pizza also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.5). Mr. Hero's advantage is ratings volume (4.8K vs 3) and update cadence (every 9 months vs every 25 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mr. Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mr. Hero has 4.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Mr. Hero's written reviews are positive against 100% of Emilio's Pizza's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mr. Hero ships an update every 9 months, Emilio's Pizza every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
