# Evolutionary Herbalism vs Scholistico

The clearest difference is rating: Scholistico at 4.6 against Evolutionary Herbalism's 3.9. Evolutionary Herbalism's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (40% vs 25%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Evolutionary Herbalism sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month and Scholistico sells 26 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scholistico holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Evolutionary Herbalism's written reviews are positive against 25% of Scholistico's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Evolutionary Herbalism ships an update every 5 weeks, Scholistico every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
