# Water Physics Simulation vs Train Simulator

The clearest difference is rating: Train Simulator at 4.7 against Water Physics Simulation's 4.2. Water Physics Simulation's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 64%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Water Physics Simulation sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Train Simulator sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Train Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4.6K and 5.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Water Physics Simulation's written reviews are positive against 64% of Train Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
