# Tecbot Home vs Narwal

The clearest difference is rating: Narwal at 3.7 against Tecbot Home's 3.0. Narwal also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (617 vs 2). Tecbot Home's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Narwal holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Narwal has 617 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Tecbot Home's written reviews are positive against 41% of Narwal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tecbot Home ships an update every 12 months, Narwal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
