# GuardPass by Get Licensed vs GCU Student App

The clearest difference is rating: GuardPass by Get Licensed at 4.9 against GCU Student App's 1.0. GuardPass by Get Licensed also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (251 vs 1). GCU Student App's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GuardPass by Get Licensed sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. GCU Student App asks for nothing beyond the download.

GuardPass by Get Licensed holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GuardPass by Get Licensed has 251 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of GuardPass by Get Licensed's written reviews are positive against 100% of GCU Student App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GuardPass by Get Licensed ships an update every 9 days, GCU Student App every 11 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
