# DermAcademy vs Profinity

The clearest difference is update cadence: Profinity at every 6 days against DermAcademy's every 5 weeks. DermAcademy's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DermAcademy ships an update every 5 weeks, Profinity every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
