# Fly Fans vs HF Smart

The clearest difference is rating: Fly Fans at 5.0 against HF Smart's 1.7. Fly Fans also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). HF Smart's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 24 months) and ratings volume (200 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fly Fans holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HF Smart has 200 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fly Fans ships an update every 24 months, HF Smart every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
