# NOIR vs the roll

The clearest difference is update cadence: NOIR at every 5 days against the roll's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOIR sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and the roll sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NOIR ships an update every 5 days, the roll every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
