# Meteor vs Habit tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Habit tracker at none against Meteor's shown. Habit tracker also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Meteor's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (85% vs 71%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Meteor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Habit tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Habit tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 147 and 37 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Meteor's written reviews are positive against 71% of Habit tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Meteor ships an update weekly, Habit tracker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
