# Resume Maker⁺ vs Simple CV

The clearest difference is rating: Resume Maker⁺ at 4.6 against Simple CV's 4.4. Resume Maker⁺ also leads on ratings volume (643 vs 81) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Simple CV's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Resume Maker⁺ sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Simple CV sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Resume Maker⁺ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Resume Maker⁺ has 643 ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Resume Maker⁺'s written reviews are positive against 33% of Simple CV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Resume Maker⁺ ships an update every 6 weeks, Simple CV fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
