# Then vs Hourlytics

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hourlytics at every 4 days against Then's every 2 weeks. Hourlytics also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%). Then's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (24 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Then sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hourlytics sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Then holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Then has 24 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Then's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hourlytics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Then ships an update every 2 weeks, Hourlytics every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
