# Rocket Hands vs Moon Pioneer

Rocket Hands and Moon Pioneer both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of Rocket Hands's written reviews are positive against 23% of Moon Pioneer's. Rocket Hands also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Moon Pioneer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (37K vs 91). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moon Pioneer sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Rocket Hands asks for nothing beyond the download.

Moon Pioneer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moon Pioneer has 37K ratings behind it against 91, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Rocket Hands's written reviews are positive against 23% of Moon Pioneer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rocket Hands ships an update every 6 months, Moon Pioneer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
