# Gymwork vs Spotr

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gymwork at free with in-app purchases against Spotr's subscription. Gymwork also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 61%) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Spotr's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gymwork sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Spotr sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gymwork holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 255 and 626 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Gymwork's written reviews are positive against 61% of Spotr's.

Gymwork ships an update every 4 days, Spotr every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
