# sMOTP vs Wifi

The clearest difference is ads: Wifi at none against sMOTP's shown. Wifi also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 32 months). sMOTP's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

sMOTP ships an update every 32 months, Wifi weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
