# SmartThermal vs PardVision2

The clearest difference is rating: SmartThermal at 5.0 against PardVision2's 2.1. PardVision2's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartThermal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PardVision2 has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of SmartThermal's written reviews are positive against 17% of PardVision2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartThermal ships an update every 6 weeks, PardVision2 every 9 days. Both last shipped on September 23, 2026.
