# Taboo vs Alias

The clearest difference is price: Alias at Free against Taboo's $1.99. Alias also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Taboo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#3 vs unranked). On in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Alias is free to download; Taboo costs $1.99 up front. Taboo sells 26 one-off in-app purchases and Alias sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Taboo ships an update monthly, Alias weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
