# CalcuSplit vs The Runstrong Coach

CalcuSplit and The Runstrong Coach both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of The Runstrong Coach's written reviews are positive against 75% of CalcuSplit's. The Runstrong Coach also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CalcuSplit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and The Runstrong Coach sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $10.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CalcuSplit holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of CalcuSplit's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Runstrong Coach's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CalcuSplit ships an update every 3 weeks, The Runstrong Coach fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
