# Privus vs Meshtastic

The clearest difference is rating: Meshtastic at 4.1 against Privus's 3.3. Meshtastic also leads on ratings volume (837 vs 3) and device support (5 vs 2). Privus's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 44%) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 17.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Meshtastic holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meshtastic has 837 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Privus's written reviews are positive against 44% of Meshtastic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
