# Social Dummy Notes vs Text Simulator

The clearest difference is rating: Text Simulator at 4.3 against Social Dummy Notes's 1.8. Text Simulator also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Social Dummy Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (14% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Social Dummy Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Text Simulator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Text Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 83 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Social Dummy Notes's written reviews are positive against 0% of Text Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Social Dummy Notes ships an update every 5 weeks, Text Simulator every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
