# SpeedTest vs Pointalk

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pointalk at every 2 days against SpeedTest's every 7 months. SpeedTest's advantage is device support (5 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SpeedTest ships an update every 7 months, Pointalk every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
