# ACT Prep vs Ace ACT Tutor

The clearest difference is ads: ACT Prep at none against Ace ACT Tutor's shown. ACT Prep also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (207 vs 6). Ace ACT Tutor's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ACT Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and Ace ACT Tutor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ACT Prep holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ACT Prep has 207 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of ACT Prep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ace ACT Tutor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ACT Prep ships an update every 3 months, Ace ACT Tutor every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
