# Forum vs Stan Community

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Forum at 100% against Stan Community's 57%. Forum also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). Stan Community's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Forum holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stan Community has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Forum's written reviews are positive against 57% of Stan Community's.

Forum ships an update every 11 days, Stan Community every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
