# Calligraphy vs Calligraphy Name

The clearest difference is rating: Calligraphy Name at 4.4 against Calligraphy's 2.9. Calligraphy Name also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (179 vs 25). Calligraphy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (33% vs 0%). On price, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calligraphy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Calligraphy Name asks for nothing beyond the download.

Calligraphy Name holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calligraphy Name has 179 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Calligraphy's written reviews are positive against 0% of Calligraphy Name's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
